What we collect

Nothing about you. PlantUML QuickLook has no accounts, analytics, advertising, or tracking, and collects no personal information.

How diagrams are rendered

PlantUML QuickLook is a sandboxed Quick Look extension. To produce a preview, the text contents of the diagram file you are previewing are sent over an encrypted HTTPS connection to the public PlantUML rendering service (plantuml.com), which returns an image of the diagram. This happens only when you preview a file, and only for the file you preview.

The full policy

The diagram text is used solely to generate the preview image. The app stores no copy of it, keeps no history, and associates it with no identity.
The app collects no analytics, identifiers, telemetry, advertising data, or third-party tracking.
There is no account, no login, and no cloud sync. The only network request the app makes is the rendering request described above.
The PlantUML rendering service is operated by the third-party PlantUML project; its handling of requests is governed by that project's own terms, which we do not control.
If you prefer not to use the public service, you can enter the address of a self-hosted PlantUML server in the app's settings — diagram text is then sent only to that server.

Children

The app is rated 4+ and collects no personal data from anyone, including children.
