All processing happens on this device. CAD QuickLook makes no network requests beyond what Apple's system services require for app installation and code signing.
The app collects no analytics, identifiers, telemetry, advertising data, or third-party tracking.
CAD QuickLook is a sandboxed QuickLook extension. It reads only the file you ask macOS to preview, for the sole purpose of rendering a preview or thumbnail, and it stores no separate copy of that file.
The app has no account, no login, and no cloud component. It does not transmit your files or any information about them anywhere.
Generated thumbnails are cached by macOS under your control, the same as for any other file type.
